Kick |

"KICK"- say the letter "B", take off the "ee" and just use the initial attack. force all the air to the front of your lips to create a pop. |

"Glottal Snare"- say the word "ish", then give a tight, non-forced grunt in the back of your throat. add the two together. this is a very relaxed sound, don't force it. |

Crash |

"Crash"- use "tsh", "ksh", or "psh" and use the t, k, or p as the attack (stick) and then the "sh" as the (ring). you want to let your "sh" hang over a bit, but fade off quickly at the end. |

| Hi - Hat |

"Hi-Hat"- say the letter "T" and like the kick, take off the "ee" and just say the consonant. add a short "s" to give it length..."ts" |

Rim - Shot |

"Rim-Shot"- say the letter "K". like the kick and hi-hat, take off the "aa" and just say the initial attack. now add an "aw" to get "KAW". this can be done on an inhale or an exhale. |
